Delete my data
Everything on this page works without signing in anywhere on this website. You do not need an account with us, because you never made one.
In a hurry? In GitLab, revoke MergeBell’s access underUser settings → Applications (and delete any token you created for it underAccess tokens), then delete the app from your phone. That stops all access and removes everything stored on the device. If you had alerts on, our server wipes your data the next time it finds the key revoked — or email us and we will do it at once.

1. From inside the app
- Settings → Delete alert data — removes the webhooks the app installed, then deletes everything our server holds about you, immediately and permanently. You stay signed in and keep using the app without alerts.
- Settings → your instance → Sign out — deletes that instance’s token, cache, queued actions and alert key from the phone.
Server deletions are immediate and permanent. There is no soft-delete and no archived copy.
2. If you have already deleted the app
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device, including the Keychain entries. It cannot reach our server, so if you had alerts on, finish the job in GitLab:
- Open GitLab and go to User settings → Applications.
- Under authorized applications, revoke MergeBell.
- Under User settings → Access tokens, revoke any token you created forMergeBell.
From that moment the key our server holds is dead, and the server deletes your data the next time it tries to use it. To have it deleted straight away, email[email protected] with the subjectDelete my data and your GitLab username and instance address. We will reply to confirm — normally within a couple of days, and within 30 days at the outside. Please do not send tokens or passwords.
Webhooks added by Instant mode stay on their projects until removed: a project Maintainer can delete them under the project’s Settings → Webhooks. Once your data is deleted from our server, they no longer do anything.
3. Cancelling a Pro subscription
Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription, because Apple manages it. On iPhone openSettings → tap your name → Subscriptions →MergeBell → Cancel subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple atreportaproblem.apple.com.
What we cannot delete for you
Your merge requests, comments, approvals and code live in GitLab, not with us. Deleting your data here has no effect on your GitLab account or anything in it — including comments you posted or merges you made through the app, which are ordinary GitLab actions.
